When we have a strong immune system, we can strongly fight with flu and infections. Feed your body with certain foods that help you to boost your immunity. Sometimes some invade bacteria can intervene in our body and makes us sick. What if we take care of our Immune system through a good diet and some changes in our lifestyle?

You can boost your immune system by getting some common foods in your kitchen. 

Here are some tips to boost your Immune System

1. Eat the right food – Vitamin C not only helps to boost your immunity but, also maintains healthy skin. There are many foods in which you can take natural vitamin C; you even do not require to go for any supplements. (Until your doctor advice). On a daily basis everyone should include Vitamin C in their diet like, Strawberries, bell peppers, broccoli, papaya, tomatoes, orange, kiwi, etc many foods are there which are rich in vitamin C.

Vitamin E, we can also add to our diet. Vitamin E intake includes nuts, almonds,      sunflower seeds, Avocado, etc. Vitamin E also helps your body to fight against the viruses.

2. Garlic – Garlic is a very popular herb, and it is also used in almost every recipe for its taste. Allicin is found in garlic, which helps to fight against the cold and flu. Garlic has many medical benefits like it prevents us from heart disease and improves our cholesterol level. For immune, you can start including garlic in your meals; you can use garlic in any form either raw or roasted. You can also eat chopped garlic in the morning with water. 

3. Herbal Tea– An ayurvedic medicine Tulsi. Traditionally it is planted in every Indian home, or I must say in India it is also called a “Holy Basil”. It has many health benefits this precious plant has natural healing power; it subsides anxiety, it is also good for oral health. You can prepare some refreshing tea with tulsi to strengthen your immune system. To make an herbal tea, Take 2 cup of water, add 4-5 leaves of basil, 2-3 cloves, small piece of ginger, and bring it to boil. When you see the water soaks the flavor, Strain the tea in a cup you can add a tablespoon of honey for taste. In fact, you can also make tulsi tea without adding cloves, ginger & honey. 

4. Keep yourself hydrated – On a regular basis; you should drink 2 to 3 liters of water. It helps to remove the toxins from your body. By drinking plenty of water it can prevent us from flu and cold. You can also add some pieces of lemon, ginger, and cucumber in your water jar to add some flavor. 

5. Turmeric Magic – Turmeric has antioxidant properties, and as we all know that turmeric is also called as “Haldi” and it has multiple benefits. It works as a natural booster for our immune. By adding Turmeric in our drinks it will help to prevent us from flu as well. You can try this turmeric drink. Boil 2 cups of water, add 1 tablespoon of turmeric, simmer it till it gets 1 cup. Turn off the flame, it’s ready to drink, for your taste you can add 1 tablespoon of honey. 

6. Green Tea – Green tea is very popular over the world. Green tea is rich in antioxidants, and it boosts your metabolism as it also fights against viruses and infections and also prevents our body from sickness. Green tea has many health benefits which include prevention of bad breath, lower the risk of heart diseases, improves brain function; it may also help in weight loss and aging effects. You may drink 3-4 cups of green tea in a day. By regular consumption of green tea, may help you to reduce the risk of many diseases. To retain the natural antioxidants you should prepare the green tea-like. Boil the water, Turn off the flame now, add green tea leaves or you can use a teabag. Keep it aside for a few minutes, strain it, and enjoy your green tea.

Eating the right food can boost your immune system, but there are other things also which you can use to protect your body from illness. Take some precautions which can save us from viruses; do wash your hands frequently, cover your mouth when you sneeze.
