Have the Energy and Spunk of a 6-Year Old
Do you wish you could have the energy and spunk of a 6-year old? Most of us do. And now there is a surefire way to ensure you have the energy and spunk of a 6 year old every day of the week: raw smoothies!
If you are trying to get more energy during the day and start on a healthy diet, there are five fruits in particular that you should incorporate into your smoothies in order to get a ton of energy. Energy fruits give you a high dose of fiber, vitamin C, as well as beta carotene. Not only that, but they taste great. Avocados, for instance, are often considered a vegetable but in any case they are a super food. This is because they give you protein, zinc, folic acid, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, and fiber.
Another energy fruit is papaya. Papaya has a high dose of fiber, vitamin C, folic acid, and calcium. It is great for your body and it tastes good too. Guava is another energy fruit that is high in vitamin E and fiber. Cantaloupe gives you the potassium you need for lifting weights. It is also full of beta carotene and vitamin C. Oranges are another vitamin C-filled fruit but they also have folate and fiber. When you mix these into your smoothies be sure to include the white peel; it has more vitamin C than the actual pulp. By mixing these fresh energy fruits into your daily raw smoothie you will enjoy fiber and vitamins that will leave you full of energy and feeling healthy.
Healing in a frothy drink
Reducing the chances of heart disease and cancer is high on many people’s reasons for healthy eating. Soluble fiber such as lignin and unsoluble fibre such as pectin can help in reducing your risk, just one smoothie can replace two or more servings of fruit so is an easy way to absorb the nutrients you need from fruit.
Smoothies can vary nutritionally depending upon the ingredients used but even a simple banana and strawberry smoothie is rich in potassium for controlling blood pressure, plus vitamin C, folic acid and fiber. So a simple banana and strawberry smoothie can deliver a potent portion of nutrients for overall health and disease prevention.
