How to make cake in microwave
Making cake in a microwave can be your best way out if you want to bake a cake in a hurry! Imagine your husband or daughter calling up their friends for a cake party and they tell you at the last minute. Sounds scary and hectic don’t it? But the situation can be easily resolved if you know how to make cake in a microwave. It saves time and bakes faster!

- Gather your ingredients: All purpose flour (1 cup), Powdered sugar (1 cup), Butter (2 tspn), 2 eggs, 1/3rd Cup of Oil, I tbspn Baking powder, A pinch of Sal, and choice of flavor. We will proceed with chocolate in this recipe for your reference so, add ½ cup of unsweetened coco powder & 5 ml of vanilla essence to the ingredient list.
- Make your flour mix- Mix all purpose flour, salt and baking powder. Make sure you sieve them at least twice so that the baking powder mixes well with the flour and you do not get sour lumps of baking soda in while you are enjoying your cake. Mix in the coco powder too and sieve it one last time. Keep aside.
- Break the two eggs beat well and keep aside, frisk the sugar and butter, mix it with the eggs along with the oil.
- Add in the vanilla essence to the egg mix and mix it well by beating it up for at least 3-4 minutes until you get a very light and fluffy texture.
- Add the egg mix slowly, bit by bit to the flour mix. Keep mixing it constantly with a spatula and make sure there are no lumps of flour. Keep mixing and you will slowly find the mixture turning into a mouth watering runny chocolate type consistency.
- A quick tip for when you are making cake mix; if you find the mixture becoming too thick, you can add few dollops of warm milk. It will help make the cake mix thinner in consistency.
- It’s Time to Bake! Grease a microwave safe with butter, you can use your hands here to make sure the butter is applied on the walls of the bowl evenly.
- Line the bowl with a baking sheet.
- Cook it for about 3 minutes at 900W. Your cake is almost done, you can check it by inserting a knife in the cake and pull it out, if it comes out clean, it is done.
- But presentation and look of cake matters too, so who wouldn’t want the cake with a slightly browned? For that, let the cake in for 2-3 minutes more and it is exactly as you want it.
