Who likes flaking scalp falling all over their shoulders and faces! A rampant problem among people; dandruff is one of the biggest scalp problem and people struggle each day to get dandruff free hair. Be it kids, teenagers or adults nobody is spared from its rampage. You might be surprised to know that, a recent study concluded that more than 50% of the world’s population faces dandruff problems. So, there is no need to panic if you suffer from dandruff. Dandruff is basically shedding of dead skin from your scalp. They generally create more problems during winters. The flakes are itchy and infectious. They spread easily through common combs, towels and hair brushes.

 

So, now let’s start with a few very interesting dandruff home remedy tips:

 

  • Lemons are the best for dandruff. Simply apply lemon juice on your scalp, leave it for about 5-10 minutes and shampoo it off with cold water.
  • Applying a paste of Fenugreek seeds before a couple of hours of going for a head wash is a great home remedy to reduce dandruff. Soak a handful of the seeds overnight; grind it to a paste next morning.
  • An apple a day not only keeps the doctor away but fights dandruff too! Apple juice helps reduce dandruff.
  • Baking Soda! Yes, a strange ingredient in treating dandruff but it does work well. Mix one tablespoon of baking soda with your shampoo and notice dandruff fading away from your scalp slowly through weeks but from the very root of hair strands!
  • Add a tablespoon of vinegar in your mug of water and wash your hair with it.
  • Make a paste of sandalwood and lemon juice to treat dandruff.
  • Squeeze out a couple drops from a fresh lemon, mix it with sour curd, apply on your scalp, let it get absorbed for about ½ an hour and then shampoo.
  • Boil beetroot leaves, make it into a paste and wash your hair with it.
  • Mix beetroot juice, ginger and lemon juice and apply it on your scalp once a week to get dandruff free hair.
  • The easiest dandruff treatment which people mostly ignore is to massage hot oil on your scalp, leave it overnight and wash it off the next morning. It works wonders, don’t ignore it!
