How to make chocolate

Who doesn’t love chocolate? Well, of course may be except a few, but there is hardly anyone in this whole wide world whose taste buds don’t flicker when they hear the name chocolate! Sinful as it is, this irresistible delicacy has been a favorite of people since hundreds and hundreds of years. So, how about making your own bar of chocolate of home? There is no doubt that your kids love chocolates so why not involve them too in making their favorite treat this weekend! So, learn how to make chocolate at home with us.

To make the loveliest chocolate you will need:

  • 2 cups of dark cocoa powder
  • 3/4th cups of unsalted butter
  • 200 gms of milk powder
  • 1/4th tblspn of all purpose flour
  • 1/4th cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 1 cup of water
  • Nuts and raisins (Optional)

 

The actual method:

  • Start with boiling water and sugar in a sauce pan till it reaches a thick consistency
  • Mix cocoa powder, vanilla essence, milk powder & butter together in a food processor and mix till it becomes a smooth paste.
  • Take it out and add the sugar mix and flour
  • Warm the milk in a sauce pan
  • Add it to the mixture too
  • Put it back in the processor
  • Blend it till a smooth paste
  • It’s time to use your hands! – Grease your hands with a little bit butter, pinch small portions of the mixture, roll them into balls and put them in the refrigerator to freeze.

 

Allow it to freeze for about sometime and then you can feat on your home made chocolate! Not only an enjoyable activity with your kids, even if you have a gift to give to one of your friends or family members, why not be creative and surprise them with your homemade box of chocolates!
