- 2 ¼ teaspoon of active dry yeast to make your dough foamy
- 1 ½ cups of warm water to knead the dough
- 4 cups of bread flour
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil to bring in the silky smooth texture to the dough
- 1 tbsp of sugar to balance the mixture
Start with adding sugar in the warm water; make sure that it dissolves properly. Next, add the yeast by constantly stirring the mixture and make sure there are no lumps. Add rest of the yeast an olive oil and let the mixture rest for about 10 minutes. You will know that your yeast is active when y our mixture becomes foamy. Add flour and salt in it and knead to make smooth dough with your hands. When the flour has absorbed all the moisture, place your kneaded mixture on a flour table top and continue to knead it for a few more minutes. The only step left now is to pan the pizza. The best way to do is by simply spreading out the dough and pressing through it with your hands and fingers. Apply sauce of your choice, spread your toppings, garnish it with a generous sprinkle of shredded cheese (again of your choice!) and finally shove your pizza into a preheated oven of 450 degrees for about 10-15 minutes.
You know your pizza is baking in and out when you smell the beautiful aroma of baking break and trust us when we say; it is a scent you cannot resist salivating for! Wait for a few more minutes and Voila! Your delicious, lip-smacking ‘homemade’ pizza is ready. Cut it into slices, plate it bring it to the centre table and your ‘holiday feast’ is ready to dig into.
